Havre de Grace Attorney
Initially admitted to practice law more than 25 years ago, April has a diverse background well suited to analyzing and addressing her client's legal needs.
April is currently the City Attorney for Havre de Grace. She enjoys practicing municipal law and giving back to the community which has been her home since 1989.
In addition, her current practice provides estate planning advice to clients who want to make sure their legal affairs are in order for themselves and their loved ones. Preparation of key documents including a Last Will and Testament, Power of Attorney, and Advance Medical Directive are important aspects of estate planning, as well as consideration of the appropriateness of revocable or irrevocable trusts, life estate deeds, or long term care and Medicaid planning and options. Elder law counseling has become a larger part of the estate planning process and April helps her clients navigate the best possible outcomes based on their unique circumstances. April's background in corporate and business law make her well suited to incorporate small business succession planning into her estate planning practice. Because clients are often overwhelmed after the death of a family member, the Firm also represents clients navigating the estate administration and probate process in Harford, Cecil, and Baltimore counties.
In her free time, April enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and boating on the Chesapeake Bay.
